Rocketman Sports FREE MLB play Tuesday 7-28-15

LA Angels @ Houston  8:10 PM EST
Play On:  Houston -118 (Wilson/McHugh) Listed

The LA Angels travel to Houston to take on the Astros on Tuesday night.  LA Angels are 55-43 overall this year while Houston comes in with a 55-45 overall record on the season.  Tight race in the AL West and Houston looks to gain a little ground here tonight in front of their home crowd.  Collin McHugh is 11-5 with a 3.97 ERA overall this year, has a 7-2 record at home this season and 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA his last 3 starts.  McHugh is 3-2 with a 2.08 ERA in all starts vs LA Angels in his career.  Houston is allowing only 2.3 runs per game their past 7 games overall.  LA Angels are 2-8 this year on the road when the total is 8 to 8 1/2.  We'll recommend a small play on Houston tonight!  Thanks and good luck, Rocky

I'm recommending a play on the Astros on Tuesday.  Huge three-game series between the Halos and Astros starts tonight with LAA leading Houston by a game in the AL West standings.  C.J. Wilson takes the mound for Mike Scioscia's squad and while some of his numbers look pretty good over recent season editions, I'm not ready to back a starting pitcher who can't lead his team as a road underdog.  In fact, in this role and with Wilson on the mound, the Angels have won just two of their last 17.  He's struggled badly in his last six against Houston, getting smacked for a 9.59 ERA, while winning just one of five decisions.  Colin McHugh has had no such trouble with the Angel lineup.  The Houston righty has a 2.08 ERA in a half-dozen starts against his AL West rivals and he's held Erick Aybar, Chris Iannetta, and Mike Trout to a combined 4-for-34 at the plate.  He'll lead a Houston team that's on a 6-0 run at home against southpaws.  The Astros are also 13-3 in their last 16 home games with McHugh on the mound. I believe Houston will draw first blood in the series and I'm recommending a play on the Astros on Tuesday.  Thanks & GL!  Scott Spreitzer.
