NL West rivals the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants will do battle at AT&T Park for the middle-game of a three-game set this afternoon. The Rockies won the opener 8-6 last night, and I expect another high-scoring encounter here when the struggling Tim Lincecum will take the mound for the Giants. He couldn't even get out of the second inning at Dodger Stadium his last start, surrendering five runs on seven hits before being pulled after only 53 pitches. Admittedly he's been rather sharp home in San Fran on the year, 2.14 ERA in seven starts, but his career 3.96 ERA against the Rockies is not that impressive, and they've already reached him for four runs, three earned, in five innings this season. The Rockies will turn to Chris Rusin to make his fifth appearance, sixth start, of the season. He's posted a 6.00 road ERA in four outings and was lit up for seven runs on nine hits in four innings of an 8-5 loss at Houston his last start away from home.

- Colorado's Nolan Arenado has compiled a .380 AVG with 17 RBI during a 13-game hitting streak and he's 5-for-12 with a double and a homer against Lincecum lifetime.
- Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez was a perfect 5-for-5 with a double and a triple last night.
- The over is 9-2 in the Rockies last 11 overall.
