I jumped all over the low total in Game 1 of this series with Kershaw on
the mound and I think the value is on the over once again. For whatever reason
Kershaw has not pitched up to his potential in the postseason and he's really
struggled against the Cardinals. He's allowed 15 runs in just 10 2/3 innings
over his last two playoff starts against St Louis and has a 4.11 ERA and 1.298
WHIP over 18 career starts against the Cardinals.
Not only do I expect St Louis to put up some runs, but I like the Dodgers
chances of scoring early against Cardinals' starter Shelby Miller. This will be
Miller's first ever postseason start and he's more than likely going to struggle
with the nerves, especially knowing he's going up against the best pitcher in
baseball. Miller allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in his only start against the Dodgers
this season and has a 7.84 ERA and 1.839 WHIP over his 3 career starts versus
Los Angeles.
OVER is 21-12 in the Cardinals last 33 home games with a total set at 7 or
less, 8-1 in Miller's last 9 starts against the NL West and 8-0-1 in the Dodgers
last 9 games as a road favorite.

starter with an of 2.70 or better and are starting a pitcher who gives up 5.5 or
